Mission Statement of Callanish Healing Retreats Society:

We are dedicated to creating a safe, caring, learning environment for:

 
bulletadults and teens with cancer and their loved ones
bulletadults, teens, and children who are grieving the loss of a loved one from cancer, and
bullethealth care professionals who work with people with cancer, their loved ones, and those in grief.

 

We provide retreats and support groups for people with cancer and their loved ones, or those in grief, who are seeking ways to improve their quality of life physically, emotionally, and spiritually. We also provide retreats and programs for health care professionals who wish to enhance their skills to work more effectively with people with life-threatening illnesses, their loved ones, and those in grief.

Objectives of Callanish Healing Retreats Society

  1. To provide retreat programs for people with cancer and for their loved ones
  2. To provide retreat programs for people grieving the loss of a loved one from cancer
  3. To provide on-going support groups for those who have participated in the retreat programs and for children/teens living with cancer in the family
  4. To establish a training institute for health care professionals who work with those living with or dying from life-threatening illnesses
  5. To study the impact of attending a retreat program and/or support group on the quality of life and death
